Mitch is from Wolverhampton, UK.
He found his passion for acting sparked in secondary school and immediately found himself drawn to it for a career. He went on to study at Walsall College where he got to perform at the National Theatre in London through their Connections project.
He has made his own short films that he has uploaded to YouTube, along with a selection of Burlesque performances. His last stage role was that of Edward Hyde in a stage adaption of the book: ‘The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’ which was met with praise and positivity.
Mitch is soon to be taking part in a virtual performance based in America called ‘The Change’: A dark and twisted tale of decisions and, no matter how seemingly unimportant these decisions seem, the consequences we face as a result. He continues to work on personal projects through his production company: Dark Light Productions, established in 2019.
After taking a 4-year hiatus from performing on stage, he is making his way back with ‘Trapped’. Carrying a message about Mental Health and being strong enough to reach out for help, Mitch believes this to be a very powerful performance to bring to life.
Michael lives in Birmingham with his two cats Flip & Flop. He is the only member of the original TwoJens&Me Theatre company. and this is his fourth play for the festival.
This is the first time he has written a one man show, though he did perform at the festival in 2018 as Sir John Falstaff (by Frank Bramwell).
As well as being the director of the theatre company, he does many other things.
He teaches English to Foerign nationals, Works as a Market Researcher, does a little bit of Bar Work, Theatre Lighting and new for 2023 is Ms Olini - https://twojensme.co.uk/ms-olini a new fun loving drag act.
Michael is delighted with the way Trapped has come together and hopes that the message wil get across that together we can find a way through the darkness.
Mitch (Thomas Rodgers) and Michael (director and Writer) Went to record a podcast with the Black Country Blokes.
